Treadstone Mortgage acquired a Historic Building for their Downtown Grand Rapids office. The building had seen more than 10 years of roof leaks, damaged floors and walls, and was in bad shape overall. Journey Construction restored and remodeled the historic building into a welcoming office for Treadstone. The Journey Team built private and open office spaces while keeping the structural integrity of the building. Journey introduced modern features for long-term growth of the building, and brought in more natural light and taller ceilings.

This project involved the restoration and adaptive reuse of a historic downtown building, transforming it into a vibrant and functional office space for a growing mortgage company. Journey Construction Group carefully preserved the building’s historic character while modernizing the interior to meet the needs of a contemporary workplace. Original architectural features were restored and incorporated into the design, maintaining the building’s connection to the community’s history while creating a professional and welcoming environment for employees and clients. By revitalizing this historic structure, the project not only provided a unique office setting but also contributed to the continued growth and energy of the downtown district.
